Art Process

I wanted to create an illustration about life and death, so I created three drafts.

The first one shows a fierce tiger and a weak woman. I tried to discuss the topic of life and death by comparing the power disparity between human and nature.

The second one is about magpies and crows with human faces, which represent happiness and misfortune, new life and death respectively in Chinese culture. I try to use birds to represent the cycle of life.

The third one is an illustration of a poor child stealing belongings from a rich man's corpse, and I find this image a bit humorous.
